Correlation between MKI67 expression and prognosis in endometrial cancer
Objective To analyze the correlation between MKI67 expression and clinicopathological features and progno-sis of endometrial cancer patients. Methods Totally 322 patients who underwent surgical treatment from January 2009 to December 2021 in the Red Cross Hospital of Wuzhou City,Guangxi Province, were selected. The correlation between MKI67 expression and clinicopathological characteristics was analyzed using logistic regression, and the association be-tween MKI67 expression and prognosis was analyzed using Kaplan-Meier curves,Log-rank test and Cox regression. Results There was a correlation between MKI67 expression levels and clinicopathological features in endometrial canc-er.MKI67 expression was positively correlated with p53 expression levels and negatively correlated with ER and PR ex-pression levels.Cox regression demonstrated that MKI67 was a risk factor for postoperative death in patients with endom-etrial cancer(HR=4.27,95%CI:1.17-15.59);Kaplan-Meier survival curves showed that patients with low MKI67 expression had longer overall survival time compared to patients with high MKI67 expression, and the difference was statistically significant(P=0.016).Conclusion MKI67 ex-pression is closely associated with clinicopathologic features such as p53,ER,and PR.The expression level of MKI67 is correlated with the prognosis of endometrial cancer pa-tients,and patients with endometrial cancer with high MKI67 expression have a lower survival rate.
