Logistic regression analysis of related factors affecting positive platelet antibody in tumor patients with necessity for blood transfusion
Objective To analyze the related factors influencing positive platelet antibody in tumor patients with necessity for blood transfusion. Methods Clinical data such as gender, age, blood transfusion history, tumor type, fertility history, and transfusion frequency were collected from 94 tumor patients who may need repeated platelet transfusion from February 2021 to March 2023 in oncology department of the third people's hospital of Sanmenxia and Yellow River Sanmenxia Hospital.SPSS 19.0 statistical software was used to analyze the results of screening platelet antibodies in tumor patients by simplified sensi-tized erythrocyte platelet serology assay. The influence and correlation of these indicators on platelet transfusion were evalua-ted.Results Among the 94 tumor patients,30 patients were positive for platelet antibody, with a positive rate of 31.91%.There was no significant difference in platelet transfusion inefficiency in patients with different platelet antibody positive inten-sity(P>0.05).Univariate analysis showed that the positive rate of platelet antibody was higher in women(43.48%),pa-tients with blood transfusion history(43.75%),blood tumor(45.76%),fertility history(40.00%)and more transfusion times(63.64%),the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05),and there was no statistically significant difference in the positive rate of platelet antibody among patients of different ages(P>0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that blood transfusion history, hematologic neoplasms, childbearing history and times of blood transfusion were main independent risk factors of positive platelet antibody(P<0.05).Conclusion Patients with blood transfusion history, blood tumor history, fertility history and more blood transfusion times have a higher platelet antibody positive rate. Before platelet transfusion, platelet antibody screening should be performed for these patients to select a compatible platelet transfusion,so as to improve the efficacy of platelet transfusion and ensure the safety and effectiveness of transfusion.
