Applicationof Kechuan capsules combined with anti-inflammatory therapy in refractory cough
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Kechuan capsules combined with anti-inflammatory treatment of refractory cough.Methods From April 2020 to April 2022,totally 202 patients with refractory cough who were admitted to Nanyang Second General Hospital were selected and randomly divided into regular group(n=101)and combined group(n=101).The regular group was given anti-inflammatory therapy(cefradine capsules+ribavirin granules)treat-ment while the combined group was treated with Kechuan capsules combined with anti-inflammatory therapy,and both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The clinical efficacy of the two groups was compared,and the scores of cough symptoms,pulmonary function indicators,serum inflammatory indicators,airway inflammatory indicators and quality of life scores were recorded in the two groups before and after treatment.Results The total effective rate in combined group was high-er than that in regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the daytime cough score and night time cough score were lowerin combined group than those in regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05)while the forced expiratory volume in one second,forced expiratory volume in one second/forced vital capacity and peak expiratory flow were higher than those in regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).The levels of serum interleukin-4(IL-4),interleukin-6(IL-6),interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)and the levels of eosinophil(EOS)and substance(SP)in sputum specimens in combined group after treatmentwere lower than those inregular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05)while the level of secrete immunoglobulin A(sIgA)in sputum specimens was higher than that in regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).After treatment,the scores of the dimensions of quality of life as well as the total score in combined group were higher compared with those in regular group,the difference was statistically significant(P＜0.05).Conclusion Kechuan capsules combined with anti-inflammatory therapy has a significant application effect in the treatment of refractory cough,which can significantly relieve the patient's cough symptoms,reducing airway inflammatory,improvingthe patients lung function,and improving their quality of life.
