Analysis of influencing factors on post-traumatic stress disorder after thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery
Objective To analyze the influencing factors of post-traumatic stress disorder after thoracolumbar compres-sion fracture surgery. Methods A retrospective collection of clinical data was conducted on 125 patients with thoraco-lumbar compression fractures who underwent percutaneous kyphoplasty treatment and were admitted to the Henan Provin-cial People's Hospital from September 2021 to September 2023.The baseline data of the patients at admission were col-lected,and the occurrence of post-traumatic stress disorder was evaluated before discharge. The related factors of post-traumatic stress disorder after thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture were analyzed by univariate and multivari-ate analysis. Results Totally 125 patients with thoracolumbar compression fractures had a pre discharge post-traumatic stress disorder scale civilian version(PCL-C)score of 18-52,with an average of(34.64±7.29)points.A total of 41 patients experienced post-traumatic stress disorder, with an incidence rate of 32.80%.The proportion of vertebral fractures≥2,low psychological resilience, low social support level, severe pain, anxiety, and depression in the fracture group were higher than those in the non fracture group, with a statistical significant difference(P<0.05).The results of multiple logistic regression analysis showed that having a fracture of ≥2 vertebral bodies, low psychological resili-ence,low social support level, and severe pain were risk factors for post-traumatic stress disorder after thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery(OR>1,P<0.05),while anxiety and depression were not risk factors for post-traumatic stress disorder after thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery(P>0.05).Conclusion The incidence of post-trau-matic stress disorder(PTSD)after thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery is relatively high.Factors affecting the occurrence of PTSD after thoracolumbar compression fracture surgery include the number of fractured vertebral bodies≥2,low psychological resilience, low social support level, and severe pain.
