Predictive effect of serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 on neurological recovery in patients with spinal fracture
Objective To explore the predictive effect of serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 on neurological function recovery of spinal fracture patients. Methods Patients with spinal fracture who received treatment in our hospital from June 2018 to De-cember 2023 were selected and divided into 41 cases in the group with good prognosis and 29 cases in the group with bad prog-nosis according to the degree of recovery of their neurological function. The general data of patients in the two groups were col-lected,serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 levels were detected, logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors affecting the recovery of neurological function in patients with spinal fracture, and ROC curves were used to assess the predictive value of serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 on the recovery of neurological function in patients with spinal fracture. Results After compari-son,there was no statistically significant difference in age, gender,BMI,time from injury to admission, cause of injury, and spinal cord injury segment between the two groups(P>0.05);serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 levels in the poor prognosis group were significantly higher than those in the good prognosis group, with statistically significant differences(P<0.05);logistic results showed that serum Neurtin,TGF-β1 levels were high as an independent risk factor affecting neurological recovery in patients with spinal fracture(P<0.05);ROC analysis showed that the AUC of Neurtin and TGF-β1 alone for diagnosing neurological recovery in patients with spinal fracture was 0.731 and 0.807,with a sensitivity of 62.96%and 75.93%,respec-tively,and a specificity of 77.78%for both. The combined diagnostic AUC was 0.892,with a sensitivity and specificity of 88.89%and 79.63%,respectively.Conclusion Serum Neurtin and TGF-β1 indexes can be used as predictive indicators of the degree of neurological recovery in patients with spinal frac-ture,and the value of combined diagnosis is high.
