Effects of deep brain stimulation combined with metoba therapy on the efficacy and motor function of patients with Parkinson's disease
Objective To investigate the efficacy of deep brain stimulation(DBS)combined with metoba therapy in pa-tients with Parkinson's disease. Methods In a prospective study,92 patients with Parkinson's disease admitted to the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from August 2019 to June 2023 were randomly divided into the obser-vation group and the control group. The control group received DBS treatment, and the observation group received meto-ba treatment on the basis of DBS,and compared the efficacy, symptoms, motor function and autonomic dysfunction scores. Results The effective rate of observation group was 91.30%,which was higher than that of control group(71.74%)(P<0.05).Before treatment, the symptoms,anti-depression and anti-anxiety scores between the two groups with no significantly(P>0.05).After treatment,UPDRS,HAMD and HAMA scores in the observation group were(42.31±3.63)scores,(18.36±4.01)scores and(10.54±2.94)scores,respectively,which were lower than control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, the motor function scores between the two groups with no significantly(P>0.05).After treatment, the scores of upper limbs, lower limbs and total limbs in the observation group were(25.08±7.14)points,(46.61±11.38)points and(72.15±20.30)points,respectively,which were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Before treatment, the scores of autonomic dysfunction between the two groups with no significantly(P>0.05).After treatment, the SCOPA-AUT score of the observation group was 20.14±3.19,which was lower than that of the control group(22.98±4.72),and the MoCA score was(27.76±2.19).MoCA score(27.76±2.19)was significantly higher than that of the control group(25.29±3.78),with statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion DBS combined with metoba can improve the motor function and therapeutic effect of patients with Parkinson's disease, and it is worth promoting.
