Study on application effect of visual nasointestinal tube catheterization in patients with severe neurological diseases
Objective To explore the application effect of visual nasointestinal tube catheterization in patients with se-vere neurological diseases. Methods Patients who were hospitalized in the neurological intensive care ward of a tertia-ry-level hospital in Zhengzhou City,Henan Province, from January 1 to February 28,2023,and required indwelling nasoenteric tubes were selected for the study, and were divided into the experimental group and the control group baesd on the computer-generated randomized sequence, with the experimental group using the visualized nasoenteric tubes, and the control group using the blind insertion of the nasoenteric tubes at the bedside. Results The success rate of the first catheterization in the experimental group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was sta-tistically significant(P<0.05).The first catheterization time of the experimental group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of complications between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).The catheterization cost of the experimental group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with blind insertion method, although the cost of visual nasointestinal tube inser-tion is higher than that of blind insertion method,it can improve the success rate of the first insertion and shorten the time of the first insertion.
