Allelopathic effects of the extract from the stem of Lonicera japonica Thunb.on Inula japonica Thunb.
In order to study the allelopathic effect of the extract from the stem of Lonicera japonica Thunb.on the seedlings of Inula japonica Thunb.,and explore the possibility of using this allelopathic effect for biological control. This experiment used the water extraction method to extract the Lonicera japonica Thunb.Stems.Four concentration gradients were set:0.02,0.04,0.06 and0.08 g/mL.Distilled water was used as the control group(CK).The allelopathic effects of the extract of Lonicera japonica Thunb.stems on Inula japonica Thunb.seedlings were studied by measuring their morphological and physiological indicators. The results showed that under the action of the extract of Lonicera japonica Thunb.stem, the seedling height, root length, dry weight, and peroxidase activity in the leaves of Inula japonica Thunb.were inhibited, except for an increase in the content of malondialdehyde in Inula japonica Thunb.Leaves, and the inhibition effect was enhanced with the increase of the concentration of the extract. When the concentration was 0.08 g/mL,the seedling height, root length, dry biomass and peroxidase activity were decreased by 11.95%,24.95%,31.25%and 30.90%respectively compared with the control.lt can be concluded that the extract from the stems of Lonicera japonica Thunb.has obvious allelopathic inhibitory effect on the growth of Inula japonica Thunb.seedlings, and it is feasible to control the seedlings of Inula japonica Thunb.in certain areas.
