Effect of ascorbic acid soaking seeds on the quality of Kosteletzkya pentacarpo seedlings under saline-alkali conditions
To explore the effect of ascorbic acid on the quality of Kosteletzkya pentacarpos seedlings under saline-alkali stress,K.pentacarpos seeds were soaked in 25,50,100 mg/L ascorbic acid solution for 12 h and 24 h,and the growth,Na+concentration, chlorophyll concentration and chlorophyll fluorescence of K.pentacarpos seedlings under saline-alkali stress were measured. The results showed that medium and low concentrations of VC treatment promoted the plant height growth of K.pentacarpos under saline-alkali conditions, but had no obvious effect on the regulation of ground diameter and dry weight.Ascorbic acid soaking enhanced the ability of K.pentacarpos to enrich sodium ions and reduced the concentration of sodium ions in saline-alkali soil. The medium and high concentration of VC treatment basically promoted the content of chlorophyll a and carotenoids, but generally reduced the content of chlorophyll b;the initial fluorescence F0 increased, the maximum photochemical efficiency Fv/Fm was relatively stable, while the actual photochemical efficiency ΦPSⅡ and photochemical quenching coefficient qP decreased significantly.Through random forest regression analysis, the indices such as plant diameter, plant sodium ion content,Chla, and ΦPSⅡ,were most affected by VC seed-soaking.After a comprehensive comparison,25 mg/L soaking for 24 h had the best alleviation effect on saline-alkali-stressed seedlings of K.pentacarpos.
