In order to grasp the Xinxiang Yellow River Wetland Birds National Nature Reserve(XNNR)avian diversity status and the response to climate warming, from January 2021 to December 2023,a comprehensive and systematic survey and research on the diversity of birds in the reserve was carried out using line transects and point counts.Based on the changes in species composition, distribution and residence type of birds, and in conjunction with the changes in the local temperature, the response of birds to climate warming in the area was explored. Results:There are 19 orders,53 families,111 genera,202 species of birds in the reserve, including 12 species of national Class Ⅰprotection birds and 38 species of national Class Ⅱ protection birds.Passeriformes, charadriiformes and anseriformes occupy the main position, accounting for 64.85%of the total number of bird species. The proportion of birds was that of traveling birds, resident birds, summer migratory birds, and winter migratory birds. The faunal composition of birds was dominated by Palaearctic species, followed by widespread species, and Oriental species were the least. The species diversity of the village and agricultural field is the highest, followed by the marsh and open waters, and the scrub and grassland is the lowest.
