Expression of CD34+endothelial progenitor cells and endostatin gene in renal cell carcinoma
Objective To study the expression of CD34+endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs)and endostatin(ES)in renal cell carcinoma(RCC)tissues and their significance in the progression of RCC.Methods The expression of CD34+EPCs and ES protein were detect by Immunohistochemical S-P method in 96 cases of RCC tissues and 20 cases of normal kidney tissues, and their correlation with various clinicopathological parameters were analyzed. Results The posi-tive rates of CD34+EPCs and ES in the RCC tissues were significantly higher than those in the normal kidney tissues(x2=47.126,P<0.001;x2=41.184,P<0.001).The expression of CD34+EPCs and ES were correlated with the clinical stage, pathological grade and tumor dimension of RCC(x2=13.942,P<0.001;x2=21.009,P<0.001;x2=11.107,P=0.004).The expression of CD34+EPCs and ES was positively correlation(r=0.226,P=0.027).Conclusion CD34+EPCs and ES are important in the occurrence and development of RCC;they have a certain relationship with each other;de-tecting their expression in RCC has the guiding value for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis evaluation of patients with RCC.
