Primary caregiver burden and influencing factors of young and middle-aged patients with terminal stage cervical cancer
Objective To explore the main caregiver burden and influencing factors of young and middle-aged pa-tients with cervical cancer in the end stage. Methods 95 primary caregivers of cervical cancer end-stage patients admitted to Henan Provincial People's Hospital were selected as the research subjects, and the general information questionnaire,Zarit Burden interview(ZBI),Katz Activities of daily living measurement and evaluation scale, social support ratings scale(SSRS)and suboptimal health status measurement questionnaire were used to investigate. Results The total burden value of primary caregivers for young and middle-aged cervical cancer end-stage patients were(51.60±8.21)points,which was at a moderate level.Multiple regression analysis showed that social support of primary caregivers(t=4.870,P=0.001),education level of primary caregivers(t=2.405,P=0.041),patients'ability to take care of themselves in daily life(t=2.913,P=0.024),the relationship between primary caregivers and patients(t=3.729,P=0.015)and the su-boptimal health status of primary caregivers(t=4.641,P=0.036)were the main factors affecting the burden of main car-egivers.Conclusion The burden level of primary caregivers in young and middle-aged patients with end-stage cervical cancer is relatively high, and the burden of primary caregivers is influenced by multiple factors.Medical staff should devel-op targeted personalized physical and mental adjustment plans based on the influencing factors, reduce the burden level of primary caregivers, and improve their quality of life.
