Risk factors analysis for perioperative complications in the elderly patients with early-stage lung cancer
Objective To investigate the main risk factors for perioperative complications in the elderly patients with early-stage lung cancer. Methods A total of 137 elderly patients with early-stage lung cancer underwent surgery in Henan Cancer Hospital from March 2023 to March 2024.The incidence of perioperative complications was calculated. The risk factors for perioperative complications were analyzed. Results Of the137 patients,36 patients(26.28%)had com-plications,101 patients had no complications. There were statistically significant differences in age, smoking history,un-derlying disease(coronary heart disease)and surgical time between the complication group and the non-complication group(t=6.445,P<0.001;χ2=7.956,P=0.005;χ2=7.499,P=0.006;t=2.477,P=0.015).Age,smoking history and coronary heart disease were the factors influencing perioperative complications in the elderly with early-stage lung cancer(95%CI:1.234~4.358,P=0.009;95%CI:1.105~7.030,P=0.030;95%CI:1.029~6.614,P=0.044).Con-clusion Age,smoking history and coronary heart disease are the main risk factors for perioperative complications in the elderly with early-stage lung cancer. In clinical practice, strict management should be carried out and targeted intervention measures should be taken according to these risk factors to reduce the occurrence of perioperative complications and improve the patients'life quality.
