Discussion on Traditional Chinese Medicine Master XIA Guicheng's Heart-Kidney-Uterus Axis Based on the Meridian Theory
Based on the theory of meridians,the master of traditional Chinese medicine,XIA Guicheng,discussed the link between meridians and the heart-kidney-uterus axis in terms of physiology,pathology and treatment from three aspects:the twelve regular meridians,the eight extra meridians and the meridian flow.It was believed that the meridian route is the structural basis of the heart-kidney-uterus axis theory,and that the accumulation of Qi and blood in the meridians plays an important role in regulating the transformation of Yin and Yang in the heart-kidney-uterus axis.It guided the clinical use of methods such as meridian differentiation and treatment,combined application of unblocking and consolidating,and the treatment based on the examination of time to ensure the healthy evolution of women's periodic rhythm at each stage.It also discussed Rangu(KI2)of kidney meridian of foot-Shaoyin in the treatment of gynaecological disorders such as infertility and dysmenor-rhea,indicating the application of meridian theory to the heart-kidney-uterus axis.
