Exploring Professor QI Yuanfu's Experience in Treating Colorectal Cancer from Cancer Toxicity Based on the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud Platform
Objective:To explore professor QI Yuanfu's experience and academic thoughts in treating colorectal cancer from the theory of cancer toxicity.Methods:Professor QI Yuanfu's prescriptions for treating colorectal cancer were collected and a database was established.And data mining was performed using the frequency,efficacy,nature and flavor,meridian distribution,association rules,hierarchical clustering,and complex network analysis modules in the Ancient and Modern Medical Case Cloud platform.Results:A total of 214 prescriptions with 137 Chinese medicines were included.The high-frequency drugs were Chaihu(radix bupleuri),Chonglou(Paris polyphylla),Chenpi(pericarpium citri reticulatae),Qingbanxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparata)and Dangshen(Codonopsis pilosula),and effect were mostly drying dampness and resolving phlegm,clearing heat and detoxifying toxins,and raising Yang Qi.Herb nature were mostly warm,slightly cold and plain,and herb flavor were mostly bitter,pungent and sweet.In terms of meridian distribution,liver,spleen and lung liver meridians were the most critical.The association rule analysis determined the pairwise combination of of Chaihu(radix bupleuri),Chonglou(Paris polyphylla),Chenpi(pericarpium citri reticulatae),Qingbanxia(Rhizoma Pinelliae Preparata),Dangshen(Codonopsis pilosula)and Shenggancao(Radix glycyrrhizae).A total of five clustering combinations were formed based on clustering analysis,and complex network analysis identified 11 core herbs.Conclusion:Professor QI Yuanfu concludes that the etiology and pathogenesis of colorectal cancer are weakness of the spleen and stom-ach,stagnation of the Qi mechanism,and cancer toxicity with phlegm,dampness and stagnation of blood,and that the clinical treatment should be based on the four basic methods of benefiting the Qi and strengthening the spleen,regulating the Qi mechanism,drying dampness and resolving phlegm,and clearing heat and detoxifying the toxin,together with the identification of syndromes and symptoms.
