Characteristics of TCM Syndromes and Medication Rules in Treatment of Preclinical Atherosclerosis Based on Literature Mining
Objective:To analyze the characteristics of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes and medication rules in the treatment of preclinical atherosclerosis. Methods:Literature about TCM treatment for preclinical atherosclerosis was retrieved from Wanfang Data,CBM,CNKI and VIP Database since the establishment to May of 2023.The basic information was extracted to build a database. Then frequency statistics, correlation rule analysis, cluster analysis and complex network analysis were conducted. Results:Totally 208 articles were included.TCM syndromes were reported in 82 articles, and TCM prescriptions were reported in 126 articles. The high-frequency syndromes were dampness-phlegm syndrome, phlegm stasis interjunction syndrome,Yin deficiency and Yang excess syndrome, liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome, kidney essence deficiency syndrome, and blood stasis syndrome. The high-frequency Chinese materiamedica included Danshen(salvia miltiorrhiza),Chuanxiong(ligusticumwallichii),Huangqi(astragalus),Gancao(liquorice),Fuling(poriacocos),Banxia(pinelliaternata),Shuizhi(leech),Zexie(rhizomaalismatis),Sanqi(pseudo-ginseng),etc.Property belonged to cold and warm. And most of the herb flavor belonged to pungency, sweet and bitter, and most of the meridian distribution belonged to liver, spleen, lung and kidney meridians.Totally 10 binomial correlations and 18 trinomial correlations were obtained by correlation rule analysis.A total of six medicine combinations were obtained by cluster analysis.A core herb-group containing 18 herbs was obtained by complex network analysis. Conclusion:The main characteristics of TCM syndromes in the preclinical atherosclerosis is deficient root and excessive superficislity. This deficient root is mostly Yin deficiency and Qi deficiency, and the excessive superficislity is phlegm dampness, blood stasis and Qi stagnation. The main lesions of viscera were kidney, liver and spleen, and the main prescription drugs are tonifying Qi,promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, and resolving phlegm and clearing collaterals, with adding or subtracting according to the symptoms.
