Based on the theory of collaterals and existing research progress,the pathogenesis and treatment of intestinal fibrosis in traditional Chinese medicine were analyzed.It is suggested that Qi and blood loss and deficiency of complexions are the fundamental pathogenesis,that damp-heat prolonged stagnation,and blood stasis and toxin damage of collaterals are the key links,and that chronic disease into collaterals and collaterals accu-mulation is the final outcome.According to the principle of"replenishing the collaterals and replenishing the deficiency,and unblocking the complexions",the specific treatment methods of replenishing vanity collaterals,clearing heat and dampness,removing blood stasis and regulating collaterals,and regulating Qi and smoothing collaterals are proposed,in order to provide new ideas for the clinical treatment of intestinal fibrosis.
