Immunosuppression is a vital factor in the formation of the micro-environment before tumor metastasis,which plays an important role in tumor metastasis.Through the discussion of"liver controlling dis-persion"which regulating qi to adjust immune function,promoting spleen transportation by excretion of bile to maintain the normalization of the liver-intestinal immune barrier,and enhancing immunity by regulating emo-tions to improve stress,we consider that liver main excretion as the core of regulating immune function.Based on these views,the association between failure of liver to convey and disperse and immunosuppression in the formation of pre-metastasis niches was explored,and the pathogenesis hypothesis of"failure of liver to convey and disperse-immunosuppression-pre-metastasis niches"was proposed.In addition,we try to restore the func-tion of"liver controlling dispersion"through"wind medicine"dispersing stagnated liver,fortifying the spleen to reinforcing the earth and inhibiting the wood,strengthen the kidneys to nourish water to moisten wood,harmo-nizing the lungs to tonify the lung to check the liver,in order to cut off the link of"liver controlling disper-sion-immunosuppression-niches before tumor metastasis",which provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of tumor metastasis in traditional Chinese medicine.
