As a medicinal material,Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic.is first recorded in Mingyi Bielu.It is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine with a long history of medicine and food homology.It can be seen everywhere in rural fields all over China,and its aliases are numerous.There is a phenomenon of name mixing,and the most commonly used herb in the past dynasties is Thlaspi arvense L..Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic.and Thlaspi arvense L.belong to two kinds of medicinal plants in Cruciferae.From the Five Dy-nasties,some herbs began to combine the seeds of Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic.with the seeds of Thlaspi arvense L.,which led to the wrong description of the original plant morphology in some herbs in the subsequent Song,Ming and Qing Dynasties,and confused the Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic.with Thlaspi arvense L.,especially in the Ming Dynasty,some herbs regarded Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic.and Thlaspi arvense L.as one.The origin was combed and verified to lay a foundation for the formulation of na-tional standards for Capsella bursa-pastoris(L.)Medic..
