Traditional Chinese medicine classics are rich in heterogeneous cultural factors,which may easily lead to cultural barriers and mistranslations.This paper took the abridged overseas translation of the fifth volume"Pediatrics"of Qian Jin Fang as the research object,analyzed the translation and interpretation characteristics of translation combined with annotations and commentary,and provided examples from three aspects:the adequacy of textualcriticism,the accuracy of interpretation and the fidelity of culture.It focusing on overseas translator's understanding and interpretation of Chinese culture,identifying the interpretation problems caused by cultural barriers,and trying to modify some translations and annotations,hoping to arouse the academic community's attention to the translation of Qian Jin Fang and jointly promote its better acceptance and com-munication.
