Analysis of the Syndrome and Treatment Characteristics of Duru(妒乳)in the Jin and Tang Dynasties
Based on the literature in Jin and Tang dynasties,the disease characteristics of Duru and its syndrome and treatment were analyzed.Duru is a condition caused by milk stasis in which local pain in the breast is the main clinical feature.The etiology and pathogenesis of Duru is milk stasis and wind and heat invasion,resulting in stagnation of Qi and blood,obstruction of milk channels,and pain if it is not passed.During this period,the treatment of Duru was distinctive,mainly based on a variety of internal treatment methods and external treatment methods with a variety of dosage forms.It advocated clearing heat and toxins,dispersing carbuncle nodules,which was simple and inexpensive.It also pioneered the technique of breast drainage,and emphasizing prognosis.
