An Analysis of the Characteristics of Tongue,Pulse and TCM Syndrome in 346 Patients with Endometrial Polyps and the Correlation with Age
Objective:To analyze the characteristics of tongue,pulse,and syndrome distribution in patients with endometrial polyps(EPs)and their correlation with age.Methods:A retrospective analysis was conducted on the age,tongue,pulse,and syndrome types of 346 patients who were pathologically diagnosed with EPs after EPs resection.Results:The overall tongue quality of 346 patients was mainly characterized by light tongue color,fat tongue body,and white and greasy coating.The pulse pattern is mostly characterized by stringy pulse and weak pulse.Spleen and kidney deficiency syndrome is the main syndrome type of EPs.The proportion of pale tongue color,fat tongue body,red tongue color,thin tongue body,white and greasy coating,dry and less tongue coating,thready and rapid pulse,thin and weak pulse,spleen kidney deficiency syndrome,and yin deficiency syndrome increases with age(P<0.05).The characteristics of the tongue and pulse were more common in the young and middle-aged female group,which were characterized by a light red tongue color,moderate tongue body,thin and white coating,and narrow pulse(P<0.05).Conclusion:There is a correlation between tongue,pulse,syndrome and age in patients with EPs.Young and middle-aged women often exhibit red tongue coating,thin white pulse string,and more liver depression syndrome.As age increases,the symptoms of pale and plump tongue,red and thin tongue,less moss,thin and weak pulse gradually increase,with spleen and kidney deficiency and yin deficiency being the main symptoms.
