Study on the Influence of Two Different Preparation Processes on the Formulation and Efficacy Evaluation of Qiqilian Capsules(芪七连胶囊)
Objective:To improve the extraction and preparation process of Qiqilian capsules, and to conduct pharmacological evaluation. Methods:Using particle size distribution, angle of repose, moisture absorption rate, and differences in capsule loading as evaluation indicators to compare the effects of two preparation processes on the formation of Qiqilian capsules.Using spontaneously hypertensive rats(SHR)as models, the finished product of Qiqilian capsules is evaluated for its antihypertensive and endodermal protective effects. Results:The results showed that Huangqi(Astragali radix),Huanglian(Coptidis rhizoma),Huangbo(Phellodendri chinensis cortex),Puhuang(Typhae pollen),Duzhong(Eucommiae cortex),and Gouteng(Uancariae ramulus cum uncis)were extracted twice with 10 times and 8 times 50%ethanol reflux, respectively. The first time was 2 hours, and the second time was 1 hour. After vacuum drying,Sanqi(Panax notoginseng)powder was added, and capsules were filled after granulation. Its particle size distribution, angle of repose, moisture absorption rate, and differences in capsule loading are all better than the original process.Pharmacodynamic experiments have shown that the finished product of Qiqilian capsules produced by the new process, when given clinical dosage, can significantly reduce blood pressure in SHR and has a protective effect on vascular endothelial cells. Its efficacy is lower than that of the original process product(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion:The new preparation process is feasible and stable, and the resulting product has significant antihypertensive and endothelial protective effects.
