As a characteristic treatment of traditional Chinese medicine,the Shugan Tiaoshen acupuncture method is based on"Baihui(DU20),Neiguan(PC6)and Taichong(LR3)",which has the effect of soothing liver and regulating mind.Through literature analysis,it is concluded that the clinical use of Shugan Tiaoshen acupuncture method is not only limited to liver disease or mind-related diseases,but also includes diseases such as heart system,spleen and stomach system.In addition to soothing the liver and regulating the spirit,combined with different acupoints,it can achieve the therapeutic effects of opening orifices,calming heart,tonifying kidney,harmonizing stomach and regulating lung.At present,the Shugan Tiaoshen acupuncture method mainly strengthens or expands the therapeutic effect of soothing the liver and regulating the mind through flexible acupoint matching,combined with decoction,combined with massage,auricular point,moxibustion and other treatment methods.This paper summarizes the mechanism,indications,syndrome differentiation and clinical application of Shugan Tiaoshen acupuncture method,and puts forward some thoughts and prospects on the current situation of Shugan Tiaoshen acupuncture method,in order to give full play to its maximum clinical value.
