Meta Analysis of Health Management Based on the Theory of"Preventive Treatment of Disease"in Traditional Chinese Medicine to Improve the Health Outcomes of People with Prehypertension
Objective:To systematically evaluate the effectiveness of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)health management in improving the health outcomes of people with prehypertension. Methods:Computer searches were conducted on China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database,VIP Database,Chinese Biomedical Literature Database,Cochrane Library,PubMed,Web of Science, and CINAHL for randomized con-trolled trials and similar experimental studies on the health management of TCM theory of"preventive treatment of disease"to improve the health outcomes of prehypertensive populations. The search period was from the establishment of the database to August 10,2023.Literature screening, quality evaluation and data extraction were carried out by two researchers.RevMan5.4 and Stata 17 software were used for analysis.Result:A total of 9 randomized controlled trials and 2 experimental studies were included.Intervention group systolic blood pressure[MD=-5.08,95%CI(-6.44,-3.72),P<0.000 01],diastolic blood pressure[MD=-3.78,95%CI(-5.13,-2.44),P<0.000 01],incidence of headache[OR=0.35,95%CI(0.25,0.49),P<0.000 01],incidence of dizziness[OR=-0.15,95%CI(-0.21,-0.08),P<0.000 01],whole blood viscosity[MD=-1.05,95%CI(-1.14,-0.96),P<0.000 01],triglycerides[MD=-0.67,95%CI(-0.75,-0.59),P<0.000 01]were all lower than the control group, and the differences were statistically significant. Conclusion:Health management based on the theory of"preventive treatment of disease"in TCM can effectively improve the health outcomes of pre hypertensive populations, but its model still needs further standardization.
