Discussion on the Diagnosis and Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis Based on the Five Body Theory
The five-body theory is an extension of the traditional Chinese medicine theory of Zangxiang, which has certain effectiveness in the prevention and treatment of knee osteoarthritis(KOA).However, there is currently a lack of systematic theoretical explanation of its scientific connotation and diagnosis and treatment.Based on the intrinsic connection between the five-body theory and KOA,this paper described the scientific connotation of the five-body diagnosis and treatment of KOA.The author believed that there is a physiological connection between the five-body theory and KOA in terms of function-anatomy and meridians, and that five-body paralysis and impotence is the core mechanism of KOA.The five-body diagnosis and treatment of KOA is a comprehensive and three-dimensional treatment from the five dimensions of skin, pulse, tendon, flesh and bone.Only when the five bodies are in harmony and the five organs are in peace, can the knee joint maintain a good functional state.
