Research on the Source and Value of the Literature on Food Contraindication in Medication in Waitai MiYao Fang
The theory of dietary contraindication in medication in Waitai MiYao Fang is different from general dietary contraindication,as there is a clear correspondence between medication and dietary contraindi-cation.Through literature analysis,this study aims to investigate the literature sources,theoretical origins,and academic value of dietary contraindication in medication in the Waitai MiYao Fang.The results showed that the direct source of literature on dietary contraindication in medication in the Waitai MiYao Fang was mainly from the Xinxiu Caoben,with a small portion taken from other medical books before the Tang Dynasty such as Xu Ren Ze Fang.The theoretical source of the Waitai MiYao Fang on dietary contraindication in medication can be traced back to the Treatise on Cold Damage during the Eastern Han Dynasty.WANG Tao had a certain knowledge of pharmacology and was able to refine and expand upon the inherent theory of dietary contraindi-cation in medication.The content on dietary contraindication in medication in the Waitai MiYao Fang has unique literary value in the research of ancient prescriptions,the study of the collation methods and the selection of base materials by the Northern Song Dynasty Medical Book Bureau.
