Research Progress of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the Treatment of Tic Disorders Based on Microbial-Gut-Brain Axis Theory
This paper summarizes the regulation of tic disorders by traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)from the perspective of microbial-gut-brain axis theory,in order to provide a theoretical basis of TCM for the prevention and treatment of tic disorders.According to analysis of literature collation,it can be seen that TCM can influence the microbe-gut-brain axis,and intervene the brain and intestinal activities by regulating the distribution of intestinal flora,regulating the release of neurotransmitters,reducing neuroinflammation and other mechanisms,to improve the clinical symptoms of tic disorders,with advantages of multi-targets,multi-levels,and multi-channels.
