Starting from the original records of anorectal diseases in Mawangdui medicine,especially in the Fifty-two Prescription for Diseases,this article aims to explore the value of their application in the research of Huxiang traditional Chinese medicine anorectal medicine,in order to provide useful references for the development,and application of Huxiang traditional Chinese medicine anorectal medicine.Through comparative research,it was found that there are significant differences in treatment methods and theoretical systems between Mawangdui medicine and later Huxiang traditional Chinese medicine anorectal medicine.However,this also reveals the deep roots and continuity between the two,especially in the treatment of hemorrhoids.Multiple compound formulas and treatment methods in the Fifty-two Prescription for Diseases are still widely adopted and innovatively developed by modern Huxiang traditional Chinese medicine,providing a solid theoretical foundation and practical guidance for the high-quality development of Huxiang traditional Chinese medicine anorectal discipline.
