Comparative Study of Knowledge Construction in the English Translation of Huang Di Nei Jing from the Perspective of Transkowletology
From the perspective of transknowletology,this article explored how different translators construct knowledge during the translation process of the Chinese medical classic,Huang Di Nei Jing.The study pointed out that translators need to face the transformation from local knowledge to a global knowledge system,which involves not only the translation of language but also the deep interpretation and reconstruction of cultural meanings and medical concepts.Ilza Veith conducted the academic construction of traditional Chinese medicine cultural knowledge through the reproduction of universal knowledge.WEN Shude(Paul Ulrich Unschuld)focused on the construction of Chinese medical knowledge,embedding local knowledge as much as possible in the translation process to preserve the uniqueness of Chinese medical knowledge.NI Maoxin flexibly used knowledge construction strategies and attaches importance to the narrative nature of the translation.Through comparative analysis,it can be clearly seen that there are differences in their knowledge construction methods,which in turn lead to differences in the effectiveness of knowledge dissemination.Therefore,the translation research of traditional Chinese medicine classics guided by the theoretical framework of translatology can enrich the research perspective of traditional Chinese medicine translation and highlight the key role of translation in knowledge production and disseminatio.
