Transmembrane proteins,located on the cell membrane,are crucial for maintaining cellular homeo-stasis and regulating cell growth and development;hence,they have been extensively investigated.This paper aims to comprehensively review the molecular structure and physiological functions of a significant transmembrane protein known as Volume Regulated Anion Channel(VRAC),providing valuable insights for future research endeavors.
