Diagnosis and Treatment Experience of Bovine Cattle Infected with Jaochong Disease during Smuggling
Babesiasis is a common zoonotic parasitic disease in cattle,first reported in China in 1992,with subsequent reports nationwide.The disease is transmitted primarily through bites from vector insects such as ticks and is commonly found in densely forested or grazing areas,exhibiting obvious regularity.This article diagnoses a case of babesiasis in smuggled cattle in a certain area of Puer city through clinical examination,laboratory testing,and other methods.The diagnosis confirmed the batch of cattle to be infected with Jaochong disease,representing a typical case of animal-derived infectious disease.The aim of this article is to provide guidance for the prevention and control of babesiasis in cattle farms,and to propose suggestions for risk prevention and control in border areas'beef cattle trade and circulation,for the reference of beef cattle farmers and practitioners,thereby ensuring the e-conomic interests of cattle farms.
