Observation on the Effect of Two Synchronized Estrus Schemes and Timed Insemination Techniques On Improving the Conception Rate of Yaks
In order to further study the issues of inconsistent estrus and low conception rate in yaks,a two-group synchronous estrus scheme was used to concentrate the performance of yaks during the reproductive season and perform timed insemination after estrus, accurately grasping the timing of insemination and improving the con-ception rate of yaks. This experiment selected female yaks aged 3-10 years old who were grazed year-round,healthy,and had moderate or above body fat on the same grassland for simultaneous treatment, and strictly con-trolled the time of treatment and mating to observe the effects of estrus and conception. The results showed that the estrus and conception rates of yaks were 67%,76%,56%,and 64%,respectively,with significant differences between the two sets of synchronized estrus schemes(P<0.05).Group 2 had significantly higher estrus and con-ception rates than Group 1 which should be demonstrated and extended.
