Prevention and Treatment of Common Calf Diseases and Feeding Suggestions
The calf period is a critical period of rapid growth and development in the whole life process of cat-tle.The important task of this stage is to ensure the healthy growth of calves and lay a solid foundation for subse-quent growth and development and fattening.At the same time,the adaptability of the calves to the external envi-ronment and the ability to regulate body temperature are poor in this period,and a slight negligence in management may lead to the invasion of various germs and cause disease and even death,so this stage is also the most difficult link in the cattle breeding process.The prevention and treatment of common calf diseases is the top priority in this stage,which plays a pivotal role in ensuring the healthy growth of calves and improving the survival rate of calves.In this paper,the growth and physiological characteristics of calves and the prevention and treatment of common diseases were summarized,and some feeding suggestions were put forward in order to provide some references for calf breeding.
