Comparison of Thermal Efficiency and Emission of Harmful Gas Released Between Honeycomb Cattle Manure and Several Conventional Fuels
The experiment aims to provide the reference for energy utilization of cattle manure in moderate scale cattle farms. The thermal efficiency and release content of harmful gases were measured during the combustion of e-qual quality honeycomb cattle manure(group Ⅰ),honeycomb coal(Group Ⅱ),block coal(group Ⅲ)and wood(group Ⅳ)by heating isothermal tap water. The results showed that:the total combustion time of group Ⅰ was lower than that of groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.01)and higher than that of group Ⅳ(P<0.01).The total boiling water quantity was lower than that of groups Ⅲ and Ⅳ(P<0.01)and higher than that of group Ⅱ(P<0.01).The content of H2S released during combustion was less than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.01),and CH4 was less than that in group Ⅲ(P<0.01),NH3 was more than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ(P<0.01).The amount of sensory smoke was less than that in groups Ⅱ and Ⅲ.These results indicated that the combustion stamina of hon-eycomb cattle manure was lower than that of coal, the thermal efficiency was higher than that of honeycomb coal and less than block coal, and the comprehensive environmental pollution was lower than that of coal during combus-tion.The combustion tailing could be returned to the field for utilization. The processing and shaping of biomass cattle manure is an effective way for energy utilization.
