The Rational and Potential Cattle Capacity Based on Ecological Carrying Capacity and Crop Straw Resources in Henan Province
[Objective]In this manuscript,cattle's potential capacity in Henan province was analyzed so as to provide conference to design the suitable cattle's feeding industry and improve the cycle between crop planting and animal husbandry and development of high quality.[Methods]Based on the total straw resources and ecological carrying capacity,the potential capacity of cattle's feeding number and its increasing number within each city(or region)in Henan province were studied.[Results]The results showed that cattle's feeding numbers were to 52.36,19.08 millions heads based on the Ecological Carrying Capacity methods(ECCM)and the total crop straw resources for collecting and using(TCSR)respectively and also the increased potential capacity of cattle's feeding numbers were to 45.98,12.70 millions heads,respectively;Moreover,the increased potential capacity of cattle's feeding number of Nanyang,Zhoukou,Zhuma'dian,Xinxiang,Shangqi,Xinyang were to5.89,5.77,5.53,3.35,4.36,3.96 millions heads based on ECCM respectively and 1.08,2.03,1.36、1.03,1.35,1.41 millions heads re-spectively based on TCSR.However,the increased potential capacity of cattle's feeding number of Zhengzhou,Pingding'shan,Anyang,Jiaozuo,Puyang,Xuchang,Luohe,Hebi,Jiyuan were to 1.36,2.12,1.75,1.92,2.68,1.24,1.82,1.68,1.11,0.81,0.16 millions heads based on ECCM respectively and 291.6,449.3,157.8,296.0,915.1,416.1,672.2,568.9,444.2,273.9,14.0 thousands heads based on TCSR,respectively.[Con-clusions]In summary,it have plenty of crop straw resources on developing cattle's feeding in Henan province,and also have the huge potential capacity of cattle's feeding number and potential increased capacity.Moreover,it should intensifying research on policy and feeding patterns for regional difference so as to improve the development of high quality to cycle between the crop planting and animal husbandry.
