Performance Measurement and Analysis on Fattening Production and Slaughtering of Fleckvieh Hybrid Cattle
This experiment was conducted to determine the fattening and slaughtering performance of Fleckvieh×friesian F1,a new type of dairy and meat hybrid breed,to provide data support and technical reference for breeding, production and promotion.A total of 20 F1 bulls(BW=264.5±35.11 kg,mean age 8 months)were used in this experiment. The cattle were fed in loose stalls, fed freely at the later stage and drank freely throughout the whole period. After 397 days of feeding experiment, the results showed that the fattening bulls of F1 generation grew from 264.5 kg to 698.2kg,with an average daily gain of 1.09 kg/d and the highest dry matter intake of 16.46 kg/d.In the fattening environment and diet conditions of this experiment, the ratio of feed to meat in the late fattening period was between 10.1 and 16.4.After slaughter,it was found that the carcass weight of F1 hybrid bulls was 394.3 kg,and the average slaughter rate was 60.1%.In conclusion, under the conditions of this experi-ment,F1 hybrid bulls showed higher feeding potential and good fattening performance under high temperature envi-ronment,and higher slaughter rate could be obtained after slaughter, showing good breeding and popularization po-tential in terms of fattening production and slaughter performance.
