Design of Small-Caliber Shell-Borne Telemetry System Antenna
The antenna is the core component of the shell-borne telemetry system.According to the special needs of small-caliber shell-borne telemetry system, the shell-borne antenna design is carried out.The circular polarization mode is used to eliminate the influence of spin on the telemetry signal during the flight of the shell.Adapt to the curved trajectory of the shell by expanding the beam width of the antenna. In order to meet the needs of small-caliber shells for the small size of the antenna, the an-tenna is miniaturized by using a high dielectric constant substrate and slotting the radiation unit. The antenna and the shell-borne telemetry system board are connected by pins to achieve the antenna's overload resistance. The designed antenna is processed and its impedance bandwidth is measured to be 24 MHz,the axial ratio is less than 3 dB within±80° along the axis, and the gain at its apex is 2.18 dBi.The measured results show that the performance of this antenna can meet the actual use needs.
