Research progress on active components and pharmacological action of Angelica sinensis
Angelica sinensis is a medicinal plant commonly used in traditional Chinese medicine,which contains a variety of chemical constituents and pharmacological effects. Angelica polysaccharides,organic acids,and volatile oils are the main components that influence the bioactivity,pharmacological effects,and quality of angelica sinensis. It is important to analyze the extraction technology and preparation process of Angelica sinensis for screening its bioactive components and exploring its functions,focusing on the separation and extraction of different components,improving the mode of action of the drug and exploring a more efficient,stable and environmentally friendly extraction process,which is an effective way for extraction,quality control and utilization of Angelica sinensis nowadays. In addition,modern pharmacological studies have shown that Angelica polysaccharides,ferulic acid,and volatile oil of angelica are the main marker compounds for the beneficial effects of angelica in hematopoiesis,immunomodulation,antitumor,hepatoprotection,and neuroprotection,etc. The studies on the pharmacological mechanism of these compounds have been sufficiently confirmed,and they show a unique therapeutic advantage in intervening in the diseases,and they have a significant potential for the development of functional foods and research and development of drug innovation. Therefore,this paper focused on the novel extraction process technology,major active ingredients,pharmacological effects and related mechanisms of action and applications of Angelica sinensis,aiming to provide a scientific and effective theoretical basis and ideas for the future development of angelica sinensis drug innovation,active ingredients and targets.
