Based on the rise-fall theory of"fly up,walked down"to explore the application of insect drugs in tic disorders in children
Tic disorders in children are characterized by complex neurobehavioral abnormalities,and the incidence of it is on the rise in recent years,making diagnosis and treatment challenging,which brings a great burden to families and society.TCM doctors usually treat this disease by syndrome differentiation of viscera and combined with pathological factors,and believe that the disease is mainly caused by spleen deficiency and phlegm accumulation,liver hyperactivity and wind movement,and more blood stasis in the later stage.The insect drugs are fleshed and emotional products,with good function and movement,their xin is scattered and salty is soft and firm,and they can be searched and picked out meridians.The early use of insect drugs can cut off the disease quickly.Therefore,insect-based medications are widely used in clinical practice to address the underlying pathology with significant practical value.This paper reviewed the Ye Tianshi's theory of'flying up and walking down'to and analyzed the unique application characteristics of insect-based medications in treating tic disorders in children through imagery-based reasoning.By referencing classical Chinese medicine texts and contemporary clinical reports and basic research,it interprets clinical outcomes based on their functions of eliminating phlegm,dispelling wind,and resolving blood stasis to offer a more comprehensive approach for medication in managing this condition.
