Analysis of TCM syndrome types and characteristics of 194 patients with colorectal polyps based on factor analysis and cluster analysis
Objective Explore the distribution of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome types of colorectal polyps by factor analysis and cluster analysis.Methods The TCM four diagnostic information of 194 patients with colorectal polyps were collected,and the main items were included in the factor analysis matrix to extract the common factors,and then the common factors were used as variables for systematic cluster analysis.the syndrome type was determined according to the factor with the highest score in the factor score coefficient matrix.Results A total of 15 common factors were selected by factor analysis,and the cumulative contribution rate was 69.335％.The first category included common factors F4 and F11 as intestinal damp-heat syndrome(damp weight),the second included common factors F6 and F14 as liver stagnation and spleen deficiency syndrome,the third included common factors F12 and F13 as spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome,the fourth included common factors F5 and F15 as middle visceral deficiency-cold syndrome,and category 5 and 9 includes common factors F3 and F7 as kidney-yang deficiency syndrome.The sixth category included common factors F8 and F9 as liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome,the seventh included common factors F1 and F10 as intestinal damp-heat syndrome(and blood stasis),and the eighth includes common factor F2 as intestinal damp-heat syndrome(heat weight).The syndrome type was determined according to the factor with the highest score in the factor score coefficient matrix,including intestinal damp-heat syndrome(69 cases,35.57％),liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome(51 cases,26.29％),kidney yang deficiency syndrome(26 cases,13.40％),middle deficiency and visceral cold syndrome(25 cases,12.89％),spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome(23 cases,11.86％).Conclusion The TCM syndrome types of patients with colorectal polyps are intestinal damp-heat syndrome,liver depression and spleen deficiency syndrome,kidney yang deficiency syndrome,middle deficiency and visceral cold syndrome and spleen deficiency dampness syndrome,among which intestinal damp-heat syndrome is the most common,and there are differences in age and pathological types among different syndrome types.
