Aluminum alloy pedestrian bridges are widely used in urban pedestrian bridges due to their light weight and aesthetic appearance.However,the gentle nature of aluminum alloy structural pedestrian bridges tends to cause large human vibration which affects comfort.In this paper,taking an aluminum alloy truss pe-destrian bridge in Hezhou City as an example,the dynamic characteristics of the bridge are tested and ana-lyzed,the human induced vibration test and comfort evaluation are carried out,and the tuned mass damper vibration reduction design of the bridge is carried out according to the comfort evaluation.The research re-sults show that although the basic frequency of the bridge is high,while the damping ratio is relatively small.Thus pedestrian crossing the bridge will still cause large vibration of the bridge and affect the comfort.There-fore,it is necessary to control the vibration caused by people on the bridge.The simulation results show that the vibration reduction effect of the multiple tuned mass dampers is significantly better than that of the tuned mass damper,which has a better vibration reduction effect on the bridge.
