Analysis on current status and influencing factors of breast cancer screening protection motivation among clinical nurses
Objective To investigate the status quo of breast cancer screening protection motivation among clinical nurses in Anhui province,and analyze its influencing factors.Methods From September to October 2022,a total of 931 clinical nurses in Anhui province were selected as subjects by convenience sampling method.General Data Ques-tionnaire,Breast Cancer Awareness Scale,Health Belief Model Scale,Nurses Organizational Support Scale,and Breast Cancer Screening Protective Motivation Scale were used to investigate and the data were analyzed.Results The total score of breast cancer screening protection motivation among 864 clinical nurses in Anhui province was(53.51 ±6.87)points,and the average score of items was(3.15±0.40)points.Breast cancer awareness score,health be-lief score,nurses,perceived organizational support score,and breast cancer screening protective motivation score were positively correlated(r=0.265,0.362,0.178;all P＜0.01).The multiple regression analysis showed that whether relatives had breast cancer,breast cancer a wareness,health belief,and nurses'perceived organizational sup-port were all influential factors of breast cancer screening protection motivation,which explained 19.8％of the total variation of breast cancer screening protection motivation.Conclusion The protection motivation of clinical nurses for breast cancer screening is at a medium level and needs to be further improved.Hospital managers should pay atten-tion to improving clinical nurses'awareness of breast cancer,improve the level of health belief,provide adequate or-ganizational support for clinical nurses and then improve the level of breast cancer screening protection motivation.
