The reticular Meta-analysis on different dressings for preventing and treating infections at PICC catheter insertion points
Objective To explore the effect of using different dressings to prevent and treat PICC puncture site in-fection.Method PubMed,the Cochrane library,CBM,China National Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI),VIP,and Wanfang Data databases were searched by the computor for randomized controlled trials on the prevention and treat-ment of PICC puncture site infections with dressings, and the references of included literature were screened, and the search was conducted from database establishment to October 31,2022.After screening and extraction of litera-ture,and conducting quality evaluation,a mesh Meta-analysis was conducted by using ADDIS 1.16.6 software on studies that met the inclusion criteria. Results A total of 21 literatures were finally included, and the reticular Meta-analysis results showed that the best effect of preventing infection at PICC puncture points was polyurethane foam dressing, followed by alginate dressing, soft polysiloxane dressing, nano silver dressing, and chlorhexidine dress-ing.Conclusion Based on existing results,it is indicated that the cured dressing and alginate dressing are superior to other dressings in preventing PICC puncture site infection.
