Research progress of multi-drug resistant organisms infection in patients with diabetic foot ulcer
The number of diabetic patients in China ranked first in the world, and diabetic foot infection(DFI)was a common and serious late complication of diabetes, and further occurrence of multi-drug resistant organisms(MDROs)infection would increase the difficulty of nosocomial infection control and medical cost.At the same time,it also increased the length of stay, amputation rate, mortality, and other serious complications, seriously affecting patients'quality of life and social and economic burden. In recent years, the infection rate of MDROs in patients with diabetic foot ulcer(DFU)was increasing and the strains were complex and changeable, which not only caused great harm to patients and their families but also increased the disease burden to hospitals and society. Therefore,it was very important to identify the risk factors of MDROs infection in patients with DFU.This article reviewed the relat-ed risk factors and its risk prediction models of MDROs infection in DFU patients to provide a reference for the clini-cal formulation of targeted prevention strategies.
