Summary of the best evidence for screening and management of perimenopausal depression
Objective To search, evaluate, and integrate relevant evidence on screening and management of peri-menopausal depression(PMD),in order to provide theoretical basis for medical staff to manage PMD patients.Meth-ods According to the"6S"evidence model, domestic and foreign databases were systematically searched, and the search time limit was from the establishment of the database to March 31,2023.The literature included clinical deci-sion-making,clinical guidelines, evidence summary, system evaluation, expert consensus, and meta-analysis.Two researchers with evidence-based training independently evaluated the included literature and extracted evidence.Re-sults A total of 12 literatures were ultimately included, including 5 clinical guidelines,3 expert consensus articles, and 4 systematic evaluations; The summary evidence included 28 pieces of evidence from 7 aspects, including risk factors, screening and evaluation, drug intervention, psychological intervention, lifestyle intervention, treatment goals, and health education. Conclusion This study summarizes the best evidence for screening and management of PMD,which will provide evidence-based basis for clinical practice. At the same time, healthcare professionals should be aware of the harm that perimenopausal depression brings to patients, master the correct screening and management methods, and combine localized situations to form personalized management methods in clinical prac-tice,reducing the incidence and recurrence rate of PMD,improve the quality of life for patients with PMD.
