Latent profile analysis of family resilience in head and neck cancer patients and its influencing factors
Objective To identify the classification of family resilience characteristics of patients with head and neck cancer and to analyze the influencing factors of different categories. Methods A total of 316 head and neck canc-er patients treated at Shanghai Proton Heavy Ion Hospital from December 2021 to December 2022 was selected as the study population by convenience sampling and patient's general information and family resilience information were collected by the Self-Administered General Information Questionnaire and the Shortened Chinese Version of the Fam-ily Resilience Assessment Scale(FRAS-C),respectively.Latent profile analysis was used to identify potential cate-gories of family resilience, and multivariate logistic regression was used to analyze the factors influencing these po-tential categories. Results The characteristics of family resilience of patients with head and neck cancer were divided into 3 types:Low family resilience(10.8%),high family resilience-low utilization of resources(24.0%),and mod-erate family resilience(65.2%).Education level, annual household income, whether living with a caregiver,num-ber of children, and duration of illness were the influence factors of different categories of family resilience in patients with head and neck cancer(P<0.05).Conclusion There is heterogeneity in family resilience characteristics of pa-tients with head and neck cancer.Medical staff can predict family resilience characteristics based on learning patients'socio-demographic and disease characteristics, and provide corresponding care services according to patients'needs to help them successfully cope with oncological diseases.
