Application of posture transfer and wheelchair technology in stroke patients with hemiplegia
Objective To explore the application value of posture transfer and wheelchair technology in stroke pa-tients with hemiplegia.Methods A total of 70 stroke patients in the department of rehabilitation medicine of the Af-filiated Hospital of Guizhou Medical University from January 2021 to January 2023 were selected,and implemented the training of body position transfer and wheelchair use techniques for 14-21 d.The Modified Barthel Index(MBI)ratings,Fugl-Meyer Assessment Scale(FMA),and Wheelchair Skills Test(WST)score were compared for patients at admission and discharge.Results The scores of MBI,FMA,and WST were improved at the time of discharge(P<0.05).Conclusion Technical guidance on posture transfer and wheelchair use for stroke patients with hemiplegia can help improve their wheelchair skills,improve their ability to take care of themselves and balance functions,and reduce the occurrence of complications and secondary damage;Thereby effectively improving the overall quality of life of patients,which is worthy of further clinical promotion.
