Objective To understand the status quo of stoma acceptance in patients with temporary stoma and an-alyze its influencing factors and its relationship with self-management behavior.Methods A total of 126 patients with temporary stomy in the general Surgery department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital from March to No-vember 2022 were investigated by convenience sampling method.General data questionnaire,stomy Self-Management Behavior Questionnaire and Chinese version of stomy Acceptance Questionnaire were used for questionnaire investi-gation.Results The total score of the Chinese version of the ostomy acceptance questionnaire for temporary stomy patients was(33.52±2.92)point,the score of the articles was(2.79±0.73)point,which was in the medium lev-el.The results of univariate analysis showed that different age,education level,retention time of stoma,main care-givers and the presence or absence of complications had influence on the stoma acceptance of patients(P＜0.05).Pearson correlation analysis showed that the total score of stoma acceptance was positively correlated with the total score of self-management behavior and its five dimensions(r=0.589,0.617,0.178,0.235,0.416,0.306;P＜0.05).The results of multiple regression analysis showed that education level,comorbidities,and the dimension of self-management behavior were the factors influencing the acceptance of stoma(P＜0.01).Conclusion The psycho-logical state of temporary ostomy patients after their return to society is an urgent issue for medical staff to pay at-tention to.Its stoma acceptance is at a moderate level.Effective intervention measures can be constructed according to the influencing factors to improve patients'stoma acceptance,promote self-management behavior,and help them adapt to the life of ostomy smoothly.
