Application of family-centered empowerment health education model on early breastfeeding of primipara after cesarean section
Objective To explore the application effect of family-centered empowerment health education model on early breastfeeding of primipara after cesarean section.Methods A total of 93 primipara with elective caesarean sec-tion admitted in our hospital from November 2021 to January 2022 and their caregivers were selected as the control group,and adopted the conventional education method,and the objects of education were mainly primiparas them-selves.A total of 98 primipara with elective caesarean section admitted in our hospital from March to July 2022 and their caregivers were selected as the observation group,and adopted the family-centered empowerment health educa-tion model on the basis of the control group.The breastfeeding knowledge of primiparas and their caregivers before and after intervention,primiparas'attitudes to infant feeding and family support for breastfeeding before and after intervention,onset time of lactogenesis Ⅱ of primipara and rate of exclusive breastfeeding at discharge in primiparas after intervention were compared between 2 groups.Results Before intervention,there was no statistically significant difference in each index of primiparas and their caregivers between 2 groups(P>0.05).After the intervention,the breastfeeding knowledge of primiparas and their caregivers,infant feeding attitude of primiparas,breastfeeding fami-ly support,onset time of lactogenesis Ⅱ,and the rate of exclusive breastfeeding at discharge in the observation group was better than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The family-centered empowerment health education model can improve maternal breastfeeding knowledge of primiparas and their caregivers,promote infant feeding atti-tude and family support for breastfeeding,shorten the onset time of lactogenesis Ⅱ,and increase the exclusive breastfeeding rate of primiparas at discharge.
